The United Nations has called upon sympathisers to assist Zimbabwe evade possible starvation due to drought.

After a tour of Masvingo province recently, UN Resident Coordinator, Bishow Parajuli in a statement said stakeholders involved in aiding Cyclone Idai survivors should also focus on vulnerable drought-stricken communities to save people from starving.

Zimbabwe has been receing unpredicted rainfall patterns in close to two decades resulting in poor harvests. These unpredicted rainfall patterns were characterised by hail storm, floods, little rains, and lately, cyclones.
