*Chiwenga Flies Back Into 'Gukurahundi Storm'* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?gq Opposition parties have chided Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s decision to fly to Rwanda to attend the International Day of Reflection on Genocide in Rwanda while back home the Gukurandundi issue has not been dealt. The day was set aside to remember the 800 000 minority Tutsis who were murdered in cold blood within 100 days by Hutus during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- MDC president Nelson Chamisa said it’s hypocrisy on the part of the government to remember the Rwandan genocide while the Gukurahundi genocide has not been dealt with. Said Chamisa: > Our hearts and minds are with the great people of Rwanda who commemorate the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 genocide which saw the slaughter of over 800 000 minority Tutsis. This reminds us all in Zimbabwe to resolve the Gukurahundi massacres for true national healing. > Most of the people who have been given the task to lead the national peace process have their hands dripping with blood. They were perpetrators of these evils on our people and should not be anywhere near that process. We need honest and genuine talk around this area. A Mthwakazi Movement activist Hloniphani Ncube had this to say: > I expected such hypocrisy from him. These people are not concerned about nation-building. It’s very obvious that charity begins at home, but to Chiwenga and Mnangagwa it’s never the case. The Gukurahundi victims must not expect any sincere intervention around the Gukurahundi genocide. > They failed a very simple thing since they were given the power which is to agree that they were wrong and to apologise. It’s very unfortunate that Chiwenga celebrates the progress of other nations which are working hard on nation-building while failing to adopt the same attitude at home. *Related:* *UPDATED: ‘Gukurahundi Journalist’ Zenzele Ndebele Arrested – Report* *Gukurahundi Commission To Start Inquires In March* *Matabeleland Chiefs Take ‘Gukurahundi’ Case To SA Parliament* *More: Newsday* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
