Makwanya was admitted into a hospital on Monday with a medical emergency. She was 56. The Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting confirmed Makwanya’s death but did not give details. May Her Soul Rest in Peace According to a ZimLive report, Makwanya, who has been at the ZBC for over two decades, was diagnosed with high blood pressure last Thursday. Her condition suddenly deteriorated on Monday evening when she suffered a stroke, and she died at around 11 PM at the West End Clinic in Harare.
