The Ministry of Information, through its Twitter handle, said > The government has been alerted to a video that has gone viral on social media where a student purportedly from a local school is shown receiving corporal punishment from school authorities. Government is doing its investigations and will soon issue a statement on the matter. Corporal punishment in Zimbabwean schools has always been controversial.
