*Chamisa Calls Off Kwekwe Rally, Takes Matter To Court* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?eg Speaking to NewsDay, MDC Alliance organising secretary Amos Chibaya confirmed Chamisa, sitting in consultation with party leadership, had resolved to call off his planned Kwekwe “thank you” rally and allow the matter to be determined by the courts instead of raising political tensions by defying a police ban. Chamisa’s supporters had vowed to disregard a police ban issued last Thursday citing a typhoid outbreak. Chibaya said MDC Alliance lawyers approached the Bulawayo High Court on Friday with an urgent chamber application to have the police ban overturned, which will now be heard today. Said Chibaya: ---------- Pindula is best experienced with the Android App. *Download APK here:* https://zero.pindula.co.zw/media/apps/apks/pindula23.apk _On Econet, Pindula does NOT use your data_ ---------- > Our leadership weighed the benefits of having running battles with the police, getting our supporters shot at or arrested and that of allowing the courts to determine our application. We then decided to give the courts a chance to arbitrate so we called off the rally. We approached the courts seeking to have the ban overturned, but we could not get a judge on Friday at the Bulawayo High Court. We were told they were unreachable on their phones. *Also Read:* *MDC Alliance To Proceed With Kwekwe Rally, After Police Block Rally Citing Typhoid Outbreak* *Police Block Chamisa’s Kwekwe Rally, Say There Is A Typhoid Outbreak In Midlands* More: NewsDay itel A50 now available on Pindula at $84 64GB storage, 2GB RAM. _ideal for light usage_ _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
