MDC Proportional Representation legislator, Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga, PDP faction leader, Lucia Matibenga and women’s rights activist Loreen Ncube have vowed to support Thokozani Khupe.

Speaking at a high tea event held at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) organised by Loreen Ncube, Misihairabwi-Mushonga said there will come a time when women will be holding rallies regardless of political affiliation. She also added that Khupe did not deserve the treatment she was getting because she had protected Morgan Tsvangirai. Said Misihairabwi-Mushonga:

The treatment that we get from men in parties is not right because for half of our lives we have been protecting them. Khupe protected Tsvangirai to his grave; but is now being labelled a traitor and the years she invested protecting the late are long forgotten.
