Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko revealed that President Robert Mugabe has appealed to white Zimbabweans as part of the reconciliation process.

In an interview with Sunday News, Mphoko  said there is nothing wrong with whites taking up political positions, including being ministers. He also said that the white community is free to attend the forthcoming Presidential Youth Interface in Bulawayo. Said Mphoko:

They saw the opportunities and took them. As ministers, we have to explain to them, hence they are now coming forward. This is why there is an interest, the cake is for everybody.

Mphoko said he has been meeting white business people since 2015.
