The “Battle of Zimbabwe” ended in a stalemate after Dynamos and Highlanders could only play to a 1-1 draw. Dynamos’ Cameroonian striker Christian Epoupa continued his purple patch when he scored for the Harare side in the second minute with a header following a cross from Ocean Mushure. The two teams went for the break with Dynamos leading by the solitary goal. However, 15 minutes after the restart for the second half, Highlanders equalised through Benson Phiri.

Dynamos Striker Epoupa turned from hero to villain just before the end of the match when he was given a red card in the 88th minute. Despite the draw, Highlanders will probably be more pleased with the result as Dynamos had gone for 6 matches without dropping points. The match was played at Rufaro Stadium.
