*Chabuka distances himself from Biti's party, turns down offer to stand as parliamentary candidate* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?sm Simon Chabuka told NewsDay that he was not interested in running as a parliamentary candidate for the Tendai Biti-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Chabuka was one of the 100 candidates who are expected to stand as candidates in 2018. He was earmarked for a parliamentary seat in Manicaland province. Said Chabuka: ---------- Latest itel S24 available on Pindula: 128GB storage $119 USD WhatsApp +263783450793 ---------- > I was not at their meeting and I don’t agree with what is there. I didn’t know there was such a meeting to choose or orient prospective candidates. For the record, I have never attended any of their meetings and, in other words, I cannot be a delegate for a meeting I didn’t attend. I was surprised to see them publishing my name as one of them, yet they didn’t even consult me. The situation is so sad that they choose to include people on their programmes without any consultation. I have never shown any interest in joining them and I completely disassociate myself from their meetings and the list of candidates. However, PDP spokesperson Jacob Mafume said that they were not referring to him but another Chabuka.
