The manager of Masvingo Spar, Emmanuel Mwale, drowned after the car he was driving was swept away at a flooded bridge he was attempting to cross on Sunday. Mwale was trapped in the car and his body was only recovered two days later. Reports indicated he may have been drunk when he attempted to make the crossing in his Nissan X-Trail.
