In response, the police on Monday denied the grouping the authority to march, saying they did not follow the proper procedures. In Harare, the police blocked the #Munuwesemuroad demonstration and in a letter dated, 12 November, 2016, Officer Commanding Harare central district, Chief Superintendent Chizemo JT, directed the demonstrators to cancel their planned march.
