*Jonathan Moyo seeks help from Constitutional Court* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?of Professor Jonathan Moyo, the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, has challenged his arrest by the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC) at the Constitutional Court (ConCourt). Moyo, filed an urgent application to block a scheduled appearance before ZACC on today (Friday). ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- Through his lawyer, Moyo said: > I have been summoned to appear before the Second Respondent on 08:00 hours at 4 November 2016 for the purposes of arraigning me before a Court. > I am reliably informed that the purpose of this is to indict me to the High Court for the simple reason of ensuring that I am remanded in custody and therefore seek relief from the High Court. > This would effectively mean that the sham investigation and my subsequent unlawful arrest and detention by a person and an institution who have no power to do so would result in the deprivation of my liberty. > Even if they chose not to indict me, I would still suffer a curtailment to my freedom as I would be under the auspicious and direction of the Court. > I would be incapable of freely exercising my Constitutional duties which require extensive travel in and out of the country. > Not only am I personally effected by this unlawful act but it has now become apparent that the Second Respondent needs to be clearly reminded as to what its legal duties and functions are. > It’s loose cannon behaviour is undermining the proper functioning of constitutional offices and in particular has somehow succeeded in side-lining the Office of the Commissioner General of Police and the Zimbabwe Republic Police which are the bedrock of policing and law enforcement in the country. An urgent intervention in such a situation is called for. More: NewZimbabwe _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
