She was one of the 3 667 graduates from nine faculties and the College of Health Sciences who were capped by President Mugabe at the institution of higher learning. Maud wrote her Grade Seven examinations at the age of nine and had six units. Her father was a soldier and her mother a housewife. After failing to get funds to pursue Secondary education, Maud Chifamba read at home and in two years time in 2009 when she was only 11 she sat for her Ordinary Level examinations and passed.
