Violence has been on the rise in Zimbabwe since March when the nation was preparing for by-elections that were held on the 26th of March.

The CCC reported several cases of violence which they said was meted out by members of the ruling ZANU PF.

Some people were killed while scores were injured and or lost their properties due to politically-motivated violence.

The ruling ZANU PF denies the allegations.

While some ZANU PF officials are preaching peace, tolerance and unity, some are on record threatening violence “worse than witnessed in 2008” ahead of harmonised elections scheduled for this year.

Political analysts have predicted bloody elections saying ZANU PF will use any means possible to retain power.
