Vincent Tsvangirai Denies Rumours That He Joined ZANU PF

Legislator for Glen View South Vincent Tsvangirai has denied social media rumours that he has joined ZANU PF.

According to Vincent, who is the late MDC-T founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai‘s son, those advocating for his recall are behind the communications. Tsvangirai told Open Parly in an interview:

I have not joined Zanu PF, I don’t know where it is coming from, and they should stop peddling it. Nyaya dzekunyeperana and labelling each kuopposition is getting too much.

Also, I have not been in Harare of late, so where would I have found time for all this? I don’t know but I suspect someone is seeking my recall on the basis of switching floor.

What this could all be about I don’t know but some overzealous members of Zanu PF who want to push some agenda.

The rumours were started by a tweet by Tatenda Mavetera, a Proportional Representation legislator who is also an actress, talk show hostess, and businesswoman. Read the tweet posted on Wednesday 18 January 2023:

Shuwa mhuri yakatanga neopposition yauya ku @ZanuPF_official, ko iwe hako unotevera working? Dzinongova nharo hadzo mamisleaders @cczimbabwe. Welcome, Hon. Vincent Tsvangirai.

Tsvangirai and MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora are currently at odds over procedural matters in the lead-up to the party’s congress, which was conducted in December of last year.

Norest Marara and Elias Mudzuri were among the senior members of MDC-T who were recently suspended.

Marara was rumoured to be considering taking the party’s top position.

Tsvangirai previously stated that despite his displeasure with the actions of party leader Mwonzora, he was still a member of the MDC-T.

Vincent Tsvangirai was elected to represent Glen View South in the National Assembly after the passing of her sister, Vimbai Tsvangirai-Java, a few years ago.

Marshall Munetsi has been linked with a move to the English Premier League club Bournemouth.

According to Foot Mercato, the Cherries want to sign the player following his impressive performances since arriving at Stade de Reims in 2019.

The 26-year-old, who has been used as midfielder and defender at Reims, has played over seventy games, scoring seven goals at the French Ligue 1 team.

Should a deal comes to fruition, Munetsi could link up with fellow countryman and Warriors teammate Jordan Zemura, who is defender at Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, the publication adds that English Championship sides Watford and Burnley are also closely monitoring Munetsi’s situation.

The 26-year-old extended his contract with Les Rouges et Blanc last summer, tying down to a contract due to expire in 2026. Transfermarkt values him at around €5m.

Antonio Conte has sounded a warning to his Tottenham Hotspur bosses amid sacking concerns.

Conte has come under mounting scrutiny with some questioning his loyalty to the club

The Italian gaffer’s contract at Spurs runs out at the end of the current season but he is refusing to sign a new contract.

With Spurs now 14 points off leaders Arsenal, there have been reports the coach could be sacked before he finishes his term.

Speaking ahead of Thursday’s trip to Manchester City, Conte has hit back at people questioning his commitment and warned those pushing for his sacking.

“You can tell me I could be not a good coach, but about the commitment and what I give the club where I work, no club was unhappy about this.

“Usually when I left the club they regret me leaving a lot because they knew the way that I work and the commitment I put into the club, what I give for the club.

“Yes. I think this. But in this aspect, I am really happy for the way that I am.

“You only get tired if you work. I work a lot and for this reason it is normal to be tired. Many people don’t look tired – that’s because they don’t work!”

Financial consultancy company Deloitte has released the latest Money League, with more than half of the clubs in the top 20 coming from English Premier League.

The Money League rates the top clubs in the World that have generated the highest revenues in the past year.

Manchester City top the list with Spanish giants Real Madrid coming in second.

Liverpool moved ahead of Manchester United for the first time and they come in the third place.

The Red Devils slipped to fourth with PSG completing the top five list.

Several clubs experienced increased revenues over the past year.

The rise was driven by the return of fans after two COVID-hit seasons, with matchday revenue increasing marginally.

M****ille defender Eric Bailly has received a seven-match ban for his horror flying tackle in a French Cup match against fourth division side Hyeres.

The incident occured in the 15th minute of M****ille’s 2-0 victory after Bailly went for the ball with an open leg.

The Ivorian misjudged his move and crashed into Moussa N’Diaye, kicking him in the right-hand side of his chest.

The crude challenge left N’Diaye being admitted to intensive care.

Bailly, who is on loan from Manchester United, was shown a straight red card for the foul.

The defender has now been hit with a seven-game ban for dangerous play.

Two games have already been served after he was forced to miss M****ille’s Ligue 1 victories over Troyes and Lorient.

Meanwhile, Bailly visited N’Diaye in hospital to check up on him and apologise for the tackle.

N’Diaye has since been discharged but is expected to be out for several months.

A bit of advice to Vincent- MDC-T morphed into CCC. What Nzvonyora calls MDC-T is actually MDC-ZANU.

Yanetsa surname yekuti ZANU. Whether MDC married ZANU or whether MDC is a child of ZANU, doesn't matter. It is a an unholy alliance between Nzvonyora and ZANU. Cross breed iyoyo hapana chipenyu chinobuda.
