"Ukrainians In Breakaway States Vote To Join Russia" - Election Officials

According to election officials installed by Russia, 93% of votes cast in the Zaporizhzhia region supported annexation, as did 87% in the Kherson region, 98% in Luhansk and 99% in Donetsk

Dismissing the results in a video posted on Telegram, Ukraine’s President Zelensky said: “This farce in the occupied territory cannot even be called an imitation of referendums”

Earlier he told the United Nations that Ukraine would not be able to negotiate with Russia after the votes. People are forced to fill out some papers for a TV picture under the muzzles of machineguns.

The referendums began last Friday, often with armed officials going door to door collecting votes. The ballots asked residents whether they wanted the areas to be incorporated into Russia.

Dmitry Medvedev, a former president who serves as deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council and an ally of President Vladimir Putin, said on Telegram:

The results are clear. Welcome home, to Russia!

President Putin is expected to address Russia’s parliament about the referendums on Friday, and officials said MPs could consider annexation legislation on October 4.

Last week Friday 23 September 2022, United States of America’s President Joe Biden warned Russia there will be “swift and severe” costs if Moscow uses “sham” referendums to annex more of Ukraine.

The vote was announced earlier last week after a Ukrainian counteroffensive seized most of the northeastern Kharkiv region, bringing hundreds of settlements back under Kyiv’s control after months of Russian occupation.

The four regions’ integration into Russia would represent a major escalation of the conflict as Moscow would consider any military move there as an attack on its own territory.

The referendums are reminiscent of the one held after Russia annexed Ukraine’s Crimea in 2014.

Observers say President Putin is not just enlarging the borders of Russia, “he is daring and baiting NATO for conflict.”

Some say any attack on the new territories now part of Russia amount to a causa belli – an event or action that justifies or allegedly justifies a war or conflict.

@S.EX. A flea infested primate from the Jungles of Africa has no business supporting Putin's war against Ukraine. With this kind of support, Africa has become China's Pit Latrine. When an African supports such blatant & wanton abuse of human rights, then that African deserves to live under the york of slavery.

African regimes emulate Russia's sham elections & sham referendums and it all starts with churlish currs & black mongrels who support their own enslavement by wadding into issues over which they have no comprehension. Putin has desecrated fundamental principles of international law and his actions have far reaching implications in as much as he sets a terrible precedence for the world.

Should nuclear war errupt, it's the African Apes with no defence technology that will suffer first. Tree climbing ability & agility will not save them. When Putin started his war, it was the Orangutans in Africa that struggled to secure grains such as wheat, leading to increases in bread prices & mealie meal. Even fuel became expensive.

Open your eyes children of the dark continent (Africa) and realise that your leaders emulate the dark nefarious acts of Putin & loot your children's future with support from Russia

Clearly Putin is not as powerful as he imagined himself to be. After threatening to decimate Ukraine within 3 days when he started his war, it's now over seven months & he is still struggling. Now Putin is settling for "annexation," which is another word for "Colonialism". After decimating & bombing Eastern regions of Ukraine, Putin now pretends to conduct a sham referendum where the few remaining Ukrainians most likely voted at gunpoint. The majority of genuine Ukrainians fled the war.

Where were the polling stations for referendum? Who monitored the so called referendum? Which electoral watchdogs or observers participated in monitoring the so called referendum to give it credibility? Which law was used to conduct the referendum? Was it Russian law or Ukrainian law? If it was Russian law, then Russian law does not have extraterritorial jurisdiction outside Russia.

This scenario reminds of Zimbabwe where illegal activities are allowed to take place by ruling party officials. When the situation gets out of hand, the same culprits who created the problem in the first place then abuse the law to REGULARIZE their illegal activities. With his bogus referendum, Putin is pretending to regularise his illegal war against Ukraine.
