The is seeking to attract teachers that qualified in Zimbabwe, to get them to work in England. An article published on UK government website https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apply-for-qualified-teacher-status-qts-if-you-teach-outside-the-uk/routes-to-qualified-teacher-status-qts-for-teachers-and-those-with-teaching-experience-outside-the-uk says that teachers will not be able to apply to teach in the UK starting 1 February 2023. Zimbabweans will be able to apply for a UK professional teaching qualification called qualified teacher status (QTS). This will be possible through the UK's Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA). The pbulication by the UK government announcing this change was published on 1 December 2022.
