Dynamos and Highlanders’ principal sponsor, Sakunda Holdings, has offered the two clubs’ players US$200 each if their clubs win their respective matches this weekend.
Dynamos play Ngezi Platinum Stars on Saturday while Highlanders host Cranborne Bullets at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo on Sunday.
Sakunda Holdings projects manager Nqobile Magwizi said the cash prize is meant to motivate the players from the two clubs ahead of their Independence Cup final at Barbourfields Stadium on 18 April. Magwizi said:
Sakunda Holdings, being the principal sponsors of Dynamos and Highlanders Football Clubs and valuing the importance of the Independence Cup, will be giving incentives to players from the two clubs ahead of their clash on Independence Day on 18 April 2022.
Each player will get a once-off payment of USD$200 for winning this weekend’s Premiership matches for their respective clubs.
This is just a noble gesture to motivate the players ahead of the Independence clash between the two clubs.
Sakunda Holdings has been providing additional lucrative packages to DeMbare and Bosso since it signed a sponsorship deal with them last year.
Last week the energy firm said it will fund a trip to Europe by Dynamos and Highlanders management that will allow them to visit three clubs of choice.
