La Liga giants, Real Madrid last night beat Liverpool to win the Uefa Champions League for a 14th time.
The Spanish club won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Brazilian winger, Vinicius Junior who scored late into the second half.
Real Madrid captain, Karim Benzema had his first-half goal ruled out for offside.
Liverpool had a couple of chances, especially in the first half, but failed to convert them into goals as Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid goal minder, repeatedly denied them.
Salah, Thiago, Mane, and Trent Alexander Arnold all tried to score but their efforts were in vain as the Belgian keeper in front of their post continuously denied them.
Jurgen Klopp’s side, and Mohamed Salah, in particular, came into the match hoping for revenge following their defeat against the same opponents in Kiev four years ago.
Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti is now the most successful manager in UEFA Champions League history having won the competition four times, beginning with AC Milan in 2003.
Zinedine Zidane with Real Madrid (2016, 2017, 2018) and Bob Paisley (1977, 1978, 1981) are the managers next on the list with three wins.
