Price Of Petrol Goes Up, Again
The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced the prices of diesel and petrol (Blend-E20) with effect from 19 October 2022.
The price of diesel has remained at US$1.73 per litre while the price of petrol has gone up to US$1.56 up from US$1.55 which was announced a week ago.
Notwithstanding the fact that fuel is hardly sold in Zimbabwe dollars, ZERA has announced new prices in the local currency.
- Diesel is now ZWL$1.088.80, up from ZWL$1.084.08 per litre
- Petrol is now ZWL$981.67, up from ZWL$971.21 per litre
ERA said the blending ratio remains at E20. It added that operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations.
