Ngezi Platinum Stars were held to a thrilling 1-1 by Highlanders in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Baobab Stadium in Mhondoro Ngezi on Sunday afternoon.
The home side scored first after youngster Lesly Kashitigu found the back of the net, but Highlanders restored parity shortly before halftime.
Manica Diamonds lost 0-1 to Bulawayo City at Sakubva Stadium in a match that had a 35-minute stoppage in the second half after the goalposts fell.
City’s goalkeeper, Reward Muza, crashed on the post as he tried to save a shot from the hosts.
This was followed by a lengthy stoppage as the groundsmen and club officials tried to fix the joint while the medical team attended to the injured goalkeeper.
The match between Dynamos and Triangle United at the National Sports Stadium was delayed after the home side wore their optional away kit with the same colours as the visitors.
The match only got underway after DeMbare players changed their red shorts for black. The match ended 0-0.
In other matches played on Sunday afternoon, Bulawayo Chiefs lost 0-1 to Cranborne Bullets, while Whawha lost 0-2 to Tenax CS.
