Plasma TVs, Solar Inverters, Solar Panel Found Hidden In A Bush

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has announced the arrest of one Trymore Mukungura over unlawful entry and theft of properties including plasma TV sets, and solar inverters which were found hidden in a bush.

ZRP said the crimes were committed in Glendale, Mashonaland Central. Said police in a statement:

On 03/05/22, Police in Glendale arrested Trymore Mukungura (31) in connection with several cases of Unlawful Entry into Premises and Theft committed in and around Glendale, Mashonaland Central.

Two plasma television sets, radio, solar battery, solar panel, two solar invertors, gas tank, 9 blankets, groceries, three monarch bags and two satchels with various clothes were recovered hidden in a bush.

Theft and armed robbery cases have been increasing in the country prompting Parliament to summon security chiefs to explain the trend as some members of the uniformed forces, retired and or serving were involved in some of these cases.

Some attribute the rise in crime to worsening economic hardships that are attributed to COVID-19 and maladministration.
