Warriors midfielder Marvelous Nakamba has been described as the “Zimbabwean Kante” by Luton fans after his impressive displays in the centre of the park since joining the club on deadline day during the 2022/23 January transfer window.
N’Golo Kante is a French midfielder who has won the Premier League with Leicester City, the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea, and the World Cup with France.
BirminghamLive reported that after failing to get on the pitch for his parent club, Aston Villa between August and January, Nakamba opted to get game time at the Hatters.
He has since completed Luton’s last three matches, including helping to see off Birmingham City 1-0 at St Andrew’s.
The Zimbabwean international anchored the midfield once again last week in their 1-0 home win over Swansea.
One Luton fan said on Twitter:
You’re definitely in my top two Marvs to play for Luton! Well done to our Zimbabwean Kante.
Another Luton fan said:
You had another great game. I just hope and pray you are still a Luton player next season.
A third fan described Nakamba as a “machine”. Luton are fifth in the Championship.
