Mnangagwa Orders Probe Into Illegal Sale Of Stands In Manyame RDC

The Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) is reportedly investigating a case in which Manyame Rural District Council (RDC) leaders are alleged to be illegally selling land using President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s name.

Some of the named politicians who include a Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) councillor are said to be claiming that their actions have been sanctioned by the Central lntelligence Organisation (CIO).

Mnangagwa is said to have since instructed the President’s office to investigate and arrest those tarnishing his name.

Officials from the ministry of local government have also been implicated in the shady land deal.

Some of the leaders who are allegedly involved in the land grabbing scandal include:

i). Nelson Bhobho,

ii). Tawanda Bhobho,

iii). Courage Gondokondo,

iv). Tichaona Munhunepi – CCC councillor,

v). Neffery Mutizira – ZANU PF vice chairman for Mashonaland East province,

vi). Brighton Garwa

Manyame RDC chief executive officer (CEO), Farirayi Guta, is reportedly preparing a consolidated report on the land invasions.

RDC planner, Murepa, confirmed the investigation when contacted for comment by NewZimbabwe.com.

Land grabbing is said to be happening in areas like Murisa Rural Service Centre, Kuora Village and Chinhanga Village.

Around 2018, many bogus land developers emerged using then First Lady Grace Mugabe’s name.

Investigations should extend to other Rural District Councils too. We have cases of councils allocating stands only after former rural plot holders sell them. I mean stand seekers at Rural Service Centred and other Townships are playing for the same stand twice.

Anenge anga ariiye mwene weStand yeparuzevha anoripwa neCouncil nokumupa stand 1 or 2 after that iye otengesera vanhu patotorwa neCouncil kare. Council yoita seisingaoni zvayo yotengesawo the same stand to the same buyer. Kureva munhu anobhadhara say $5000 for a stand ye$2500; - half kuCouncil half kuFormer owner. Asi former owner anenge akapiwa stand iyoyo free naSabhuku.

Let them be arrested without fear or favor. It would appear this cancer will not go away in Zimbabwe. Every Tom and Jerry wants to dip their fingers in the jar. All these shenanigans are a consequence of misgovernment. The fish rits from the head. The root cause is the man calling for the investigations.
