Mnangagwa Ensembles Team To Go After G40 Officials In Exile - Moyo

Exiled former Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo, has written an open letter to President Emmerson Mnangagwa of plotting to “go after” members of the vanquished G40 who are in exile.

Moyo and several other former cabinet ministers including Patrick Zhuwao, Saviour Kasukuwere and Walter Mzembi skipped the country’s borders in 2017 following the ouster of the late former President Robert Mugabe.

They had been hostile to Lacoste, a ZANU PF faction led by then-Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and fled the country in fear of retribution.

In his open letter, Moyo claims that Mnangagwa has put together a team comprised of individuals from the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO)’s counter-Intelligence and the Ministry of Defence. Pindula News presents Moyo’s open letter:

Dear Emmerson

I have impeccable information that you’ve put together a joint hit squad with elements from CIO Counter-Intelligence and MID to go after me and other exiled Cdes; you have targeted since your Nov 2017 Army coup. All I can say is that God is for everyone!

NB: The above open letter has been placed here for no other purpose than to put @edmnangagwa on public notice that his plot is known. Full stop!

This comes amid reports that G40 is plotting to make a comeback and dislodge the Mnangagwa-led administration.

PINDULA COLLEAGUES, I TOLD YOU YESTERDAY THAT ZANU PF LEADERSHIP WILL NOT SIT PRETTY IN ZIMBABWE AS LONG AS EXILED FORMER ZANU PF MEMBERS ARE STILL OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY.

THEY MAY NOT CAUSE IMMEDIATE THREAT, BUT THEY ARE A POTENTIAL THREAT. ZIMBABWE IS NOT THE FIRST COUNTRY TO EXPERIENCE THIS SCENARIO. IF INDEED PRESIDENT ED MNANGAGWA HAS PUT UP A HIT SQUAD, IT IS AN OUTDATED METHOD OF SETTLING SCORES.

ALL EXILES WANT TO COME BACK HOME. HIT SQUADS USUALLY CREATES PROBLEMS FOR THE COUNTRY. EXILES ARE OFTEN PERSUADED TO COME BACK HOME WITHOUT ANY CRIMINAL CASES HANGING OVER THEIR HEADS.

ANOTHER CIVILISED WAY OF GETTING BACK EXILES IS TO ASK FOR THE EXTRADITION OF SUCH MEMBERS. EXTRADITION IS VERY COMPLICATED AND MAY TAKE YEARS: HENCE THE USE OF HIT SQUADS.

THESE ALLEGATIONS OF HIT SQUADS BY MUZVINAFUNDO JONATHAN MOYO CAN NOT BE DISPUTED BECAUSE HE HAS HIS INTELLIGENCE NETWORK.

YOURS SINCERELY
