Man Robbed Of His Car While Parking

The Zimbabwe Republic (ZRP) is investigating a robbery case in which unknown assailants attacked and robbed a Harare man of his Honda Fit yesterday evening.

Police said the robbers were armed with a pistol. In a statement seen by Pindula News, police appealed to members of the public who might have information that might lead to the recovery of the stolen vehicle. Reads the police statement:

Police in Harare are investigating an armed robbery incident which occurred in Mabelreign on 28/02/22 at about 1630 hours, where a complainant (43) parked a silver Honda Fit vehicle AFN 4274 outside the gate before being attacked by two unknown suspects wielding an unidentified pistol.

The suspects dragged the complainant out of vehicle before taking control and driving away. Anyone with information which may lead to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and the arrest of the suspects to contact any nearest Police Station.

Meanwhile, there was another armed robbery incident at Forbes 38 Gold Mine, Shamva on Monday at about 0200 hours and the discovery of a body of a male adult near the mine.

Police say about 20 unknown suspects armed with unidentified rifles stormed the mine and exchanged gunfire with a security guard. The guard later ran away from the mine and alerted some mine workers before they retreated to a nearby mountain.

A body of a male adult with a gunshot wound on the back was discovered about 1.5km away from the scene with a sack of stolen gold ore near the body
