JUST IN: CCC's Madzibaba Veshanduko Arrested
Godfrey Chidhawu Kanembere, a Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) supporter known as Madzibaba for his yellow robes and apostolic-like stuff at the party’s rallies has been arrested.
He was reportedly arrested for ‘improper dressing’.
The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) has indicated that its team of lawyers are trying to gain access to him at Harare Central police station where he is being held. Said ZLHR on Twitter:
At Harare Central Police Station, our lawyers are trying to get access to Madzibaba ve Shanduko arrested in the capital city today.
Madzibaba ve Shanduko has been badly assaulted on his legs & back. One police officer is taking issue with him for allegedly dressing improperly as he is wearing a floral blue short sleeved shirt & a navy blue backpack.

In an update, the lawyers said:
Godfrey Karembera popularly known as Madzibaba ve Shanduko is facing a charge of disorderly conduct for allegedly wearing yellow regalia & telling people in Harare’s CBD to vote for @nelsonchamisa. He is detained at Harare Central Police Station.
Kanembere has been attending CCC rallies to boost morale ahead of the 26 March by-elections and 2023 harmonised elections.
