FACULTY OF COMMERCE 

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE IN ACCOUNTING HONOURS

Entry requirements: A minimum of 5 '0' Level passes including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or better.

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT HONOURS 

Entry requirements: A minimum of 5 '0' Level passes including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or better.

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE IN MARKETING MANAGEMENT HONOURS

BACHELOR OF ACCOUNTING HONOURS

Entry requirements: Applicants must have an advanced accounting diploma such as SAAAIAO, ICSAZ, CIMA, ACCA, HEXCO Higher National Diploma in Accounting or any0 :advanced Diploma, from a recognised institution, in which the accounting comp is strongly represented.

Duration: (2 YEARS) 

BACHELOR OF BANKING AND FINANCE HONOURS

Entry requirements: Applicants must have an advanced diploma in Banking and Finance from a recognised institution or a recognised full professional qualification in which finance and/or the banking component(s) is (are) strongly represented.

Duration: (2 YEARS) 

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE IN MARKETING MANAGEMENT HONOURS

Entry requirements:  Prospective students must hold ZIMCHE-accredited advanced diploma in marketing Ilia in addition to 5'0' levels including English Language and Mathematics at grade c or better. 

Duration: (2 YEARS) 

BACHELOR OF COMMERC IN BANKING AND FINANCE SPECIAL HONOURS

Entry requirements: Aminimumof  a relevant basic/general degree

Duration: 1 Year

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT HONOURS

Entry requirements: Prospective students must hold ZIMCHE-accredited advanced diploma in human pi resource management in addition to 5'0' levels including English Language and Mathematics at grade c or better.  

Duration: (2 YEARS) 

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE IN ACCOUNTING SPECIAL HONOURS

Entry requirements: Entry requirements: Aminimumof  a relevant basic/general degree. 

Duration: (1 YEAR) 

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (2 YEARS) 

Entry requirements: An undergraduate degree in any discipline from this or any other recognised University.

Duration: (2 YEARS) 

MASTER OF APPLIED' ACCOUNTANCY  (WEEKEND SCHOOL ONLY) 

Entry requirements: A minimum of a first degree in an:accounting related field from a recognised university with a degree class of at least 2.2; or its equivalent, plus A minimum of two years working experience in an accounting/finance environment 

Duration: (2 YEARS)

BACHELOR OF EDUCATION HONOURS (SECONDARY IN SERVICE PROGRAMME 

Entry requirement: To be admitted to the programme, an appikant must have: A Diploma / Certificate in Education (Early Childhood Developm pfant/Primary Education) or equivalent from a recognised institution. 

Duration:  (3 YEARS)

BACHELOR OF EDUCATION HONOURS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT (BHCD) IN-SERVICE PROGRAMME

    Entry requirements: Entry Requirements To be admitted to the programme, an applicant Must have: A Diploma / Certificate in Education (Early Childhood Development/InfantiPrimary Education) or equivalent from a recognised institution. 

Duration: (2 YEARS) 

BACHELOR OF EDUCATION HONOURS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT (BHECD PROGRAMME

Entry requirements: Entry Requirements To be admitted to the programme, an applicant must have: SKY level passes including English Language, Science and Mathematics. 'A' level passis an added advantage 

Duration:  (4 YEARS) 

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (PGDE)

 Entry requirements: For the entry to the Post Graduate Diploma in Education programme (PGDE), applicants must have a relevant recognised teaching degree (with a school curriculum subject) from a recognised university. 

Duration: (18 MONTHS)

DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (PRIMARY)

Entry requirements: To be admitted to the programme, applicants must have a minimum of 5 'V Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and Science at grade C or better. 

Duration: (3 YEARS)  

 BACHELOR OF EDUCATION HONOURS IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT (BERM)

Entry requirements: Entry Requirements For admission to the kgree programme, applicants should have a relevant Diploma/Certificate in Education or equivalent from an accredited and recognised institution. 

Duration: (2 YEARS) 

MASTER OF EDUCATION IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT

Entry requirements: Ent Reqqtrements 'h to the degree programme applicants must have the following: Bachelor ion degree with a minimum of a lower second class pass (2.2); any other nt first degree with a minimum of 2.2 and some recognised experience in a management post 

Duration:  (18 MONTHS) 

BACHELOR OF EDUCATION IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (BEHY) 

Entry requirements: Entry Requirements For the entry to the Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Youth Development Studies programme applicants must have; Ordinary level certificate with at least five passes including English Language, a national indigenous language or approved equivalent and/or Advanced. Certificate in Secondary Education with at least two passes. An applicant with a degree or Advanced Diploma awards from other Institutions of Higher Learning will be considered on their own merit. 

Duration: (4 YEARS)

BACHELOR OF ARTS HONOURS IN ENGLISH AND COMMUNICATION (BHEC)

Requirements:  A candidate should have at least five (5) '0' Level passes or assessed equivalent including English Language. 

Duration: (4 YEARS)

BACHELOR OF ARTS SPECIAL HONOURS IN LITERATURE IN ENGLISH (BASHLIT)

Requirements: Entry Requirements Acandidate must have a first degree in Literature in English. 

Duration: (1 YEAR)

BACHELOR OF ARTS HONOURS IN ETHICS AND ORGANISATIONAL LEADERSHIP (BAHEOL) 

Requirements: A candidate should have 5 (five) '0' Level passes or assessed equivalent including English language. Duration: 4 years, or a candidate with 5 (five) '0' Level passes including English language and a relevant National Diploma from a recognized institution will enter the programme in Level 2. Duration: 3 years, or a candidate with 5 (five) '0' Level passes including English language and a relevant Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution will enter the programme in Level 3.

Duration: 2 years 

BACHELOR OF ARTS,HONOURS,IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES AND THE (BAHRT)

 Requirements: A candidate should have 5 (five) '0' Level passes or assessed equivalent including English language. Duration: 4 years, or a candidate with 5 (five) '0' Level passes including English language and a relevant National Diploma from a recognized institution will enter the programme in Level 2.

Duration: 3 years 

  • DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA AND JOURNALISM STUDIES   

BACHELOR OF ARTS HONOURS IN MEDIA STUDIES (BAHMS) 

 Requirements:  A candidate should have 5 (five) '0' Level pases or assessed equivalent including English language. Duration: 4 years, or a candidate with 5 (five) '0' Level passes including English language and a relevant National Diploma from a recognized institution will enter the programme in Level 2. Duration: 3 years, or a candidate with 5 (five) '0' Level passes including English language and a relevant Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution will enterthe programme in Level 3.

BACHELOR OF ARTS SPECIAL  HONOURS IN COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA STUDIES (BASH CMS)

Entry Requirements: Applicants should have a first degree in Media Studies or equivalent, having at least five (5) '0' Level passes or equivalent including English Language. 

Duration:  (1 YEAR) 

FACULTY OF APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES

BACHELOR OF SOCIAL SCIENCE HONOURS IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (BSSHDS) (4YEARS) 

Requirements:  To qualify for registration, a prospective student must have: Passed at least five '0' level subjects including English at grade C or better, Advanced level is an added advantage; or Joined the programme through the Accreditation of Prior Learning route; or Gained advanced standing through the Accreditation of Prior Learning route (Students applying through APL may be required to apply for the undergraduate Certificate in Development Studies first before proceeding to the Diploma or Bachelor's degree). Students applying through APL must construct a portfolio for assessment of prior learning; or Joined the programme through Special entry or A qualification deemed to be an equivalent to those offered by the University; or Attained an undergraduate certificate or diploma undertaken at an appropriate level and Jeemed to be equivalent to courses that are offered at the BSc honours Level and 

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES 

Entry Requirements: To qualify for entry into the p r ospective student must possess an 6 Honours degree In Development Lc{ xliecipline or an equivalent; or A first general undergraduate degree in  develOethent studies or related discipline. Candidates with relevant working experience have Madded adVantage. 

Duration: 18 Months

MASTER OF SOCIAL SCIENCE IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES

Entry Requirements: To qualify for entry into the programme, a prospective student must poSsess an Honours degree in Development Studies or related discipline with a minimum classification of 2.2 or an equivalent; or an undergraduate degree and a..POst.' Graduate Diploma in Development Studies or in the relevant field from a recogiised university. Candidates with relevant working experience have an added advantage. 

Duration: (18 MONTHS) 

  • DEPARTMENT OF COUNSELLING 

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN COUNSELLING Entry requirements Normal Entry: A minimum of 5'0' Level passes including English Language at Grade C or better. 'A' level is an added advantage. Mature Entry: 4 '0' level passes including English language plus Portfolio; or Accreditation through Prior Learning (APL). Have a recognized professional qualification in a human service profession (e.g. teaching, nursing, social work) 

Duration: (4 YEARS) 

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN COUNSELLING

Entry requirements: Relevant Honours Bachelor's degree in Counselling or Psychology with a minimum degree classification of 2.2 or equivalent from a recognised university. Applicants should have at least 2 years working experience. 

Duration:  (2 YEARS) 

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY

Entry requirements: Relevant Master's degree with a pass or better from a recognized university.

Duration:  (3 YEARS)

Entry requirements: Diploma in Education 

Duration: 2 YEARS IN-SERVICE 

BACHELOR OF EDUCATION HONOURS IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

Normal Entry: At least five passes at "0" Level including English Language at Grade C or better Special Entry: A relevant Diploma 

Duration: 4 YEARS,

MASTER OF EDUCATION IN INCLUSIVE AND SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION

 Normal Entry: Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited and recognized _institution or Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), BSc Special Education. Mature Entry: Applicant can be enrolled through mature entry provided they meet standards as stipulated in the University General Academic Regulations

Duration: (18 MONTHS) 

DIPLOMA IN DISABILITY STUDIES

Entry requirements: At least five passes at "0" Level including English Language at Grade C or better. Experience in a human service area will be an added advantage. 

Duration:  (2YEARS) 

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY

Entry requirements: A relevant Master's degree with a pass or better from a recognised institution in the following areas only, Inclusive Education, Disability Studies and Special Needs Education. 

Duration: (3 YEARS)

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN RECORDS AND ARCHIVES MANAGEMENT 

Entry Requirements: Applicants must have 5'0' level passes, including English Language at Grade C or better, or gained advanced standing through the Accreditation of Prior Learning route. Attained a qualification at Level 5 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 2 of the study programme, or attained a qualification at Level 6 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 3 of the study programme. 

Duration:  (4 YEARS)

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE 

Entry Requirements: Applicants must have 5'0' level passes, including English Language at Grade C or better OR Gained advanced standing through the Accreditation of Prior Learning route OR Attained a qualification at Level 5 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 2 of the study programme, OR Attained a qualification at Level 6 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 3 of the study programme. 

Duration: (4 YEARS) 

  • DEPARTMENT OF PEACE, LEADERSHIP AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION 

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PEACE, LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE (MPLG)

Entry Requirements: For admission into the programme, applicants must possess a relevant honours first degree with a minimum classification of 2.2 or equivalent. Applicants with at least two years working experience and those working for non-Governmental or humanitarian organizations, Government departments, quasi-government, Religious organizations and security forces have en added advantage.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN PSYCHOLOGY

Entry requirements Applicants must have 5'0' level passes, including English Language at Grade C or better, or gained advanced standing through the Accreditation of Prior Learning route. Attained a qualification at Level 5 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), awarded by a recognised university, college, or institute.
