Job Description
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Workshop Mechanic to join our team in the Service Centre Section. You will participate in a variety of projects, following mechanical plans and instructions from the site supervisor. Your main responsibilities as the Mechanic will include but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
- Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine and vehicle users.
- Keep logs of work and report on issues.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years' proven experience as a Mechanic.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. callipers).
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
- Very good physical strength and stamina.
