Job Summary

We are looking for a competent Office Clerk to perform various administrative and clerical tasks to support the workshops and maintenance department. The candidate will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from filing to workshop and maintenance help desk.

An effective office clerk could work diligently to help maintain smooth office operations. The candidate must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with workshop equipment and procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Vehicle licensing
  • Fleet tracking
  • Control and manage administration duties including purchasing requestions
  • Produce accurate documents within negotiated time frames
  • Active maintenance of organisation’s database to ensure that the database remains credible
  • Updating fleet service intervals
  • General office administration work
  • Record timesheet, data entry maintaining and compiling records
  • Updating records of all maintenance work in an orderly manner
  • Assign duties to truck drivers

Qualifications And Experience

  • Office management/ administration diploma
  • A good technical understanding of engineering
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a workshop environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent in both English and Ndebele
