Job Description

A well-established company in drilling and blasting seeks to consider suitable and qualified candidates for the above position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To service and maintain plant and tools to a high standard.
• Organise and monitor workload of workshop staff.
• Liaise closely with Plant/Workshop Administrator/Foreman.
• To diagnose faults and repair/maintain of all plant and tools both in the workshop and on site.
• Organise workload amongst the workshop staff to cover all site calls both in and out of hours and assign specific tasks accordingly in conjunction with the Foreman.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Issue all safety bulletins to workshop staff, record signatures and pass copies to Site Manager for personnel files.

Qualifications and Experience

•  Diploma in Diesel Plant Fitting or equivalent in subjects related to Vehicle and Plant Maintenance.
• 10 years’ experience in Diesel Plant Fitting.
• 5 years’ experience as a foreman or supervisor in mining and construction.
• Solid understanding of mobile earthmoving equipment.
• You must have completed a full vehicle apprenticeship.
• You MUST have a full Driving Licence for all vehicle categories.
