Job Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the above mentioned position within the National AIDS Council.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide linkages for planning and coordinating biomedical HIV & AIDS as well as other related interventions with the Ministry of Health and Child Care
  • Support integration and linkages for various priority program areas
  • Capacity development of internal structures, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to support/adopt bio-medical interventions for key programmes
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, partner organisations and other stakeholders in the development of bio-medical interventions.
  • Provide technical assistance on the collaboration between the multi-sectoral and health sector response to HIV and AIDS.
  • Participate in and support the development of relevant policies, guidelines and strategies
  • Participate in technical working groups on biomedical responses
  • Advise on and support the inclusion of key indicators in the various biomedical programmes
  • Review and make recommendations on NAC support for support for key programmes
  • Carry out resource mobilization to address identified priority gaps
  • Produce periodic reports on biomedical and Health sector response programmes supported by NAC
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor of Medicine Degree
  • Post graduate qualification in public health
  • At least 5 years working experience in HIV and AIDS response or related field
  • Any other additional relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage
