Summary
Job Purpose The job holder will be charged with the responsibility of Designing, developing and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards for the Agency.
Reporting to: Deputy Director Information Technology Services.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Designing, developing, and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards.
- Producing clean, well-documented, efficient, and standards-compliant code.
- Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements and estimates.
- Monitoring, and evaluating system performance.
- Designing and implementing new programs and features.
- Testing and modifying systems to ensure that they operate reliably.
- Training and support users.
- Diagnosing and fixing bugs.
- Backup data, programs and documents according to backup policy.
- Website, database development and maintenance.
Qualifications and attribute
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience.
- Excellent computer skills including use of Statistical Analysis System (SAS), CSPro and statistical software, systems software. including server, office, and exchange an added advantage.
- Knowledge of C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Must be a good team leader
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Technical aptitude in computer hardware installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security
