Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the campus radio station;
- Contribute to the development of a governance framework for the campus radio station for the successful implementation of Education 5.0;
- Actively contribute to the development of the campus radio station strategy and itsalignment to Education 5.0 and the overall university-wide strategy;
- Develop operating procedures to facilitate student acquisition of practical skills and competencies across Faculties through task and activities at the campus radio station;
- Engage with Departments, Faculties and the overall university community for the development of campus radio programmes;
- Coordinate the conceptualisation, development and broadcasting of university lectures through the campus radio station;
- Ensure compliance of campus radio station activities and programmes with broadcasting laws and regulations;
- Compile and submit monthly reports relevant authority;
- Create and environment which is conducive to intellectual, talent research and innovation growth;
- Any other duties as assigned by the University through the Executive Dean and the Radio Station Director of the campus Radio Station.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Masters or MPhil Degree in Media-related studies
- A Bachelor of Arts Degree in a Media-related area
- At least three (3) years postgraduate experience working in a University environment and teaching media related programmes;
- Good leadership skills and managerial competence;
- Experience in setting up and running a campus radio station;
- A proven record of creating radio programmes for campus radio including digital content
- A sound knowledge of the heritage based Education 5.0
