Airports Company Of Zimbabwe (Private) Limited is looking for qualified candidates to fill the above-mentioned posts.
Reports to: Manager
Location: Victoria Falls International Airport x 1 Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport x 1 Airport
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides Airside Safety advisory services to Airport Management and aviation stakeholders
- Carries out safety risk assessments, hazard identification, analyses and recommends mitigation measures to the Airport Management.
- Manages safe and orderly movement of aircraft, equipment and personnel in the Airside.
- Monitors and enforces the implementation of effective bird and animal control programme.
- Conducts Airside Safety induction training to all people who access the Airside at an Airport including contractors.
- Conducts quarterly routine safety inspection on Airport facilities and ground service equipment to ensure that airside services are adequately available and timely offered to maintain the required service delivery.
- Coordinates the Airside maintenance/ repairs in liaison with the technical services departments and relevant stakeholders.
- Enforces implementation of the Airside Standard Operating Procedures by all service providers there promoting a safe and efficient service delivery.
- Ensures continuous dissemination of accurate information, keeping abreast with all airside operational activities and occurrences on daily basis.
- Investigate, monitor and evaluate incidents/accidents preventative programmes to avoid reoccurrence.
- Liaises with airlines, airport service providers and agents to ensure that airside services are adequately and timely offered to maintain the required standard or/and turnaround times.
- Manages Airside Safety and Apron Management staff performance and appropriately recommends areas of improvement and appropriate training.
- Produces daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Airport Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- National Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance.
- Qualification in Supervisory Management is an added advantage.
- 5 years' experience in Airside/ Airport operations or safety supervision.
- Working knowledge of aerodromes regulations.
- A valid Class 2 Driver's Licence.
- Sound knowledge of relevant ICAO SARPS.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of Airport operations.
- Knowledge of Airport operations is an added advantage.
