Job Summary

A member of the SME Association of Zimbabwe in retail is looking for a Sales Representative for corporate wear, stationery and ICT hardware. Applicants must be results driven and will be in charge of the entire sales process from inception to the execution of the order.

Duties And Responsibilities

Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business

for the organization’s products.

  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective ustomers.
  • Research on ideas for developing prospective customers and for information to determine heir potential.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Execute transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, distribution and IT personnel.
  • Analyses the client base/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and
  • prospective customers’ value to the organization.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products.
  • Keeps abreast of market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.
  • Follow up on all debtors and its maintenance within agreed credit period.
  • Accountable for any losses as a result of unapproved debtors

Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.

  • 2-4 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Clean class 4 drivers license
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel, and outlook
