Sales Manager - Thornville Marketing

A reputable FMCG who are specialists in the manufacturing of condiments is recruiting for the position of Sales Manager.

The incumbent will play a key role in growing foreign sales revenue, while providing excellent customer service. In addition, the incumbent will supervise and coordinate the schedules of Sales Representatives to meet and exceed sales quotas.


  • Work to develop new business and negotiate contracts with local and foreign sales/distribution centres to generate revenue.
  • Knowledge of the details of the export business to ensure compliance with government policy, labelling systems and logistics.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the sales representatives and merchandisers.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity results and reports, such as daily call reports, monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Recommend changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer complaints to maximise satisfaction.
  • Align various sales activities to compliment organisational goals.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
  • Successful previous experience as a Sales Representative or Sales Manager in FMCGs
  • Experience in export business would be a plus
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated and driven
