Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the post of an Assistant rigger.
Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for attaching loads to rigging equipment, provide support for loading and offloading or to prepare them for moving with the use of hand and power tools.
- Ensure that all work is completed safely and timely.
- Adhere and ensure that safety regulations and precautions are practised.
- Need to be familiar with all necessary safety equipment.
- Carry out any other duties as delegated from time to time.
Qualifications And Experience
- At least a Certificate or equivalent, including specialized training in rigging systems and practices.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and handle fragile electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Traceable work experience as a rigger in a setup with cranes, forklifts, manual hoists e.t.c with 2+ years minimum.
- Physically fit to lift heavy loads with ease as the job may require manual labor from time to time.
