Job Description
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within National AIDS Council. Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacancy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes of HIV and related programmes in the Province in line with the ZNASP and NDS1.
- Coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive Provincial multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS in line with relevant frameworks.
- Oversee the research process and facilitate documentation of best practices and dissemination of research outcomes in HIV and AIDS.
- Promote innovative and strategic initiatives in combating HIV and AIDS within the Province·
- Develop and implement effective resource mobilisation strategies for HIV programs.
- Mobilise stakeholder support and participation for effective HIV programming.
- Oversee establishment and capacity building of AIDS Action Committees.
- Capacity build partners and stakeholders to ensure effective contribution to the national HIV and AIDS response.
- Promote networking and collaboration in HIV programming within the Province.
- Ensure effective coordination of HR, Finance, Administration and Procurement processes in collaboration with Head Office.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Social/ Health Sciences or equivalent.
- A relevant Master’s/Post Degree qualification.
- 6 years’ experience in HIV and AIDS / Community Development work.
- Any other additional relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
