Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position which has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa, Harare campus. The Programmes Officer reports to the Director, Gender and Diversity Centre.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to the design, implementation and coordination of the Gender & Diversity Centre activities.
- Assisting in resource mobilisation for the Centre.
- Developing and maintaining strategic working relationships with key stakeholders, partners and networks.
- Supporting funding proposal and report writing.
- Participating in communicating the Centre’s vision and activities.
- Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of the Centre’s programmes.
- Preparing and implementing annual work plans for the Centre and
- Performing any other relevant duties assigned by the Director.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Sciences discipline such as Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Master’s degree in the above areas from a reputable university.
- At least two (2) years of working experience in a similar position.
- NGO sector experience will be an added advantage and
- Strong familiarity with Gender Equality and Diversity Inclusion strategies.
