Job Description

The Printing Machine Operator will produce printed objects and materials using assigned printing machinery.

Operates various types of printing machines (digital printer, large format printer and sublimation printer) including screen printers,.
Should be familiar with printing software for digital printers and large format printers and or have the ability to quickly learn all the technical requirements.
Should have the capacity to run the print shop and meet deadlines without supervision.
Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of print jobs.
Determines quantities required for print job.
Matches colors for print job per job request.
Aligns and configures machinery.
Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of printings.
Maintains inventory of supplies needed to operate printing machines.
Troubleshoots issues with printing machine and makes basic repairs.
Performs routine maintenance on printing machines.
Drafts and submits reports for daily production totals.
Maintains a clean area around printing machinery.
Check toner levels for digital printers, inks for large format and sublimation printers.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various printing machines and related software.
Accepts a zero tolerance policy to waste and mistakes-negligence is not accepted.
Ability to follow instructions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
Previous related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
