Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above mentioned post. The incumbent will be reporting to the Human Resource Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
House keeping
- Sweeps scrubs and mops the floor to remove all dirt to ensure for a clean and presentable environment at all times.
- Empty bins twice a day to avoid accumulation of bacteria and spread of diseases.
- Polishes furniture to ensure that it is presentable thus enhancing the image of the organization.
- Cleans doors to remove dirt so as to maintain the image of the working environment.
- Dusts electronic equipment to ensure that the equipment is clean and to avoid effects of accumulated dust on furniture and equipment thus increasing the lifespan of all equipment.
- Opens office windows to ensure air circulation and ventilation.
- Wash office curtains to avoid accumulation of dust in offices.
- Ensures all electrical gadgets have been switched off to save power and to prevent potential fire hazards.
Tea Preparation
- Collects beverage requirements (milk) for use by staff to ensure there are enough ingredients at any given time.
- Cleans and maintains stock of kitchen utensils to ensure that hygienic standards are maintained and to secure kitchen stock, as well as to account for all kitchen stock.
- Clears and cleans utensils from offices to make sure that it is presentable at all times for use by staff.
- Serves refreshments during meetings.
- Prepares and serves beverages to all staff in their respective offices and work stations.
Mail Management and Other Duties
- Collects mail from the Registry office and distributes it to their respective offices.
- Distributes documents (petty cash vouchers, fuel request forms internal requisition forms) and files within offices as required.
- Record letters in the mail register to ensure record keeping and ease of reference purposes.
- Dispatches stationery to respective offices.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 ’O’ levels.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
