Job Summary

A leading insurance Broking company a looking for an individual to the position of Managing Director. The company has been in existence for over four decades, has a strong corporate clientele base and is a subside, of a ZSE listed holding company

The successful person must be able to provide clear and sound leadership direction through the visionary policies and procedures necessary to ensure the correct operational, administrative, and reporting structures are in place. The candidate must be able to put in place superior controls and systems that will effectively grow the organisation. As the core driver, you are required to direct and control the management team with advice and leadership, managing the internal activities of the operations In agreement with the strategy, policies, goals, and objectives established a. set by the Group CEO and p Board of Directors.

You will be supported by a substantive and dedicated management team, together with a Nighty motivated workforce, to allow for planning and creativity required to achieve set goals. You will be responsible for the overall strategic formulation, coordination, and implementation of business strategies that ensure profitable growth, increased sales, and lower costs to obtain a further market share in the short term insurance braking industry.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • We seek an ambitious and ethical person with solid managerial skills, grit capability, and strategic administrative ability to enhance fortunes and future expansion plans.
  • You must be highly profit-driven, with a robust commercial flair and a proven ability to develop new business and enhance close relationships with key clients across the corporate and individual sectors.
  • You must be flexible and able to multi-task, can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment while also driving forward clarity and solutions, demonstrating resourcefulness in setting priorities, and guiding investment in people and systems.
  • You must be a strategist and a leader with high emotional intelligence and must have strong interpersonal skills that endears trust while strengthening client relationships.
  • The incumbent's Leadership capabilities are a critical requirement in the proactive and effective delivery of the decision-making process in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Changing business circumstances need to be identified, evaluated and their financial impact understood as input towards the business direction.
  • You are expected to develop flexible strategies- and methodologies that cater for new and potentially uncertain circumstances.

Qualifications And Experience

  • You will naturally be highly educated with a post-graduate qualification in your chosen field and command a presence in today's appropriate business sector at a senior level, with a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • You must have attained an Associateship of the Insurance institute (ACII) and/or a Diploma in Insurance. A Masters' Degree would be a distinct advantage.
  • You must have demonstrated experience of a minimum of 10 years In short term Insurance with at least 5 Years being at Managing Director or other Executive level.
  • Overall, you must be a corporate leader with solid integrity above reproach with a track record in delivering.
