Latest Zimbabwe Women's Microfinance Bank The Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender & Community Development was mandated by the Government of Zimbabwe under the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (ZIMASSET), to strengthen and/or establish mechanisms for women to effectively participate and benefit from various empowerment programmes. The idea of a Women’s Bank was first put forward in 1982 by the Ministry of Community Development and Women’s Affairs, as a means by which rural women could get access to credit facilities. Women constitute 52 % of the population, are believed to work ten times more than men and produce more than half of the country’s food, yet they earn only 10% of the country’s income.Trust Towers, 56-60 Samora Machel Ave, Harare Zimbabwe

Job Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-driven and results oriented individuals, to fill the above position within ZIMBABWE WOMEN'S MICROFINANCE BANK

Responsible for acquisition and retention of rnicrofinance banking clients to attain a quality loans portfolio and deposit, client base.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Understand the various customers and stakeholders needs as championed in the Credit department
  • Planning marketing strategies and outreach programs in a cost-effective manner.
  • Manage and monitor portfolio daily as stipulated in the set guidelines, rules and regulations in relation to arrears, queries, business opportunities, site visits etc.
  • Follow up, where necessary, on agreed plans within the prescribed timelines through effective engagements with clients.
  • Manage customer relationships through periodic contact and ensure business continuity.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Microfinance, Developmental Finance, Banking or equivalent Business qualification.
  • Proven substantial progress towards attaining a microfinance diploma will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years credit/ lending experience. Banking experience is an added advantage
  • Be highly customer focused.
  • Be highly knowledgeable about the Microfinance's products and services.
  • Be A Goal Getter, Self-Starter and Have ability to work with minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines.
