DEPARTMENT OF MINING ENGINEERING
Duties And Responsibilities
- The candidate must be able to teach the following modules: Rock and Soil Engineering, Mine Management, Mine Planning and Design, Mining Law, Mine Ventilation Practice, Explosives Engineering and Computer Applications in Mining. The applicant is expected to actively engage in research and innovation activities in his/her area of specialisation leading to tangible products and services.
Qualifications And Experience
- Applicants must have a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Mining Engineering with at least an upper second (2.1) degree classification and a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- A PhD qualification in Mining Engineering and teaching experience at a university will be an added advantage.
