Job Summary
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified, committed and competent persons to fill the above position that have arisen within Chegutu Rural District Council
Reporting To Chief Executive Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure establishment of sound system of control within council and compliance with standard practices, regulations and guidelines. Carryout audit assignments under the guidance of audit committee/ Chief Executive Officer Implement and evaluate effectiveness of internal control systems
- To do spot checks of all council activities.
- To critically analyze the expenditure patterns with a view of ensuring that council receive value for money on all expenses To write departmental monthly reports and formulating audit conclusion and recommendations
- To coordinate internal and external audit
- Monitor the use of council resources and assets
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time relating to council operations
Qualifications And Experience
- A Degree in Auditing/Accounting/Finance/ or holder or full CIA/CIS/CIMA
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Accounting ,Audit and Financial Management
- High Computer literacy skills
- No criminal record
- Age 30 years and above
- Knowledge of Sage/Pastel Evolution is a must.
- Relevant professional courses are an added advantage
- Clean past employment record
- A citizen of Zimbabwe
- A clean class 4 driver's licence is an added advantage
