Job Summary

Duties And Responsibilities

Key result areas

  • Providing high guilty support services across the council's functions in the area of human capital planning, employment/ recruitment and selection, employee training and management development in Industrial relations, results based personnel performance system, job evaluation, organization planning. remuneration administration, work study, health and safety isle benefits and personnel information systems
  • Monitoring the performance of departments and ensuring the engendering of a high performance culture In conformity with the results based management system.
  • Contributing to the overall human resources management strategy
  • Ensuring that sound. comprehensive and reasoned legal advice Is given to Council and Heads of Departments on all labour matters at all material times

Qualifications And Experience

Qualifications and experience

  • A degree in Human Resources Management or other relevant discipline
  • A post graduate diploma in law (PDL) (Conciliation and Arbitration) is a must
  • A Masters degree In Public Administration Business Administration/ Business Leadership would be an added advantage
  • At least seven years Human Resources Management experience sound knowledge of the Labour Act (Chapter 28:01) and other related legislation
  • Corporate or Full membership of IPMZ
  • Re mature, innovative and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Have good organizing and negotiating skins with the ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Computer merge and be capable to use all Human Capital Management ICT solutions and packages
  • No criminal record (a valid police Clearance must be attached)
  • CIean class 4 Driver's License
