Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position which has arisen within Sanyati Rural District Council

HOUSING, SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICES OFFICER - GRADE 10 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Development Studies, Local Governance or any other relevant Social science degree.
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience in middle management
  • At least 30 years old and mature
  • A clean criminal record
  • A clean record of service within the local government fraternity 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise and monitor housing development schemes.  
  • Land bank and stands management
  • Financial management of Sub office and Social Services department.
  • Coordinate disaster management activities in the distnct.
  • Coordinate Water, Sanitation and Hygiene activities in the district.
  • Coordination of NGO activities in Council's area of jurisdiction.
  • Management of Sanyati Growth Point programs and services that includes refuse collection, sewage treatment, road maintenance, street lighting and water supply.
  • Supervise operations of council Clinics and Schools
  • People management at Sub office and Social Services department
