Job Summary
• To effectively and efficiently carry out all mechanical jobs in the organisation
Duties And Responsibilities
- Comply accordingly with the ICRF book (Internal Control Reference framework) with specific emphasis on engineering and production procedures
- Carry out daily, weekly and yearly maintenance as assigned by supervisor, according to PM schedule as per Plan Performance KPIs, MTTR and MTBF
- Complete engineering documentation such as job cards, checklists and failure log sheets as per procedure and as per Plan Performance KPIs, MTTR and
- MTBF
- Carry out preventatives maintenance as per schedule
- Carry out machining of spares shafts, pulleys as assigned by the supervisor.
- Service and install spare parts for the plant when need arises and in line with job card.
- Attend to minor problems on mobile equipment and recommend action.
- Complete safety hierarchy checklist after running the plant before handing over to next shift.
- Assemble and disassemble bucket elevators, gearboxes, ball mill and kettles.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for company tools as per procedure and policy.
- Carry out daily checklists of buildings and utilities
- Recommend building and utilities repair.
- Implement building and utilities betterment projects
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor such as Plant shift
- work and operation of Forklifts and driving company vehicles when need arises
- Perform risk analysis before performing any job.
- Close all tags raised in the plant timeously which encompass safety, maintenance and improvement.
- Inspect all work done to ensure quality before handing over to production
- Attend safety meetings.
- Perform monthly SHEQ audits.
- Housekeeping, ensuring workspace is kept clean and tidy.
- Any other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
Qualifications And Experience
- 5 O’ levels Maths and English included;
- Class 1 Journeyman- Fitter and Turner
