Job Summary
Tsholotsho Rural District Council is looking for qualified candidates to fill the positon above.
Basic Function
- Working under the supervision of the council accountant
- The graduate intern's primary role will be to support the Finance department mainly in all aspects of financial reporting
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintaining petty cash records and distributing little cash
- Maintaining an official filling system of all accounting and financial records
- Ensure that bank reconciliations are done every month for all council bank accounts
- Assist in the preparation of the general Ledges reconciliations
- Ensure the completeness of payment documents.
Qualification And Experience
- A Degree in accounting or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in an accounting environment
- Good working knowledge of accounting software (Sage Evolution will be a distinct advantage)
- A team player
- Self -Starter with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills that include developing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels with strong communication skills
- Able to identify and align with the council's core values, transparency, accountability, respect, honesty, integrity, and teamwork
